First up, I’ve added our recent guest-star, Tanya Joy de Marco, on the Featured Guest-Star page.
Next, a brand new UNcubed surfaces today.
Brand new Art & Story Alive podcast. We discuss character brainstorming techniques and exercises (similar to what I posted on the blog yesterday), and delve into our thoughts on the recent Robert Kirkman video editorial. It was a terrific show, with a great turnout. Give it a listen!
Finally, this Friday at 10PM EST - we’re having another Sequential Artists’ Pub gathering. Bring your favorite beverage! The SAP! forums have been very active. To join the conversations in progress, register on the boards. It’s free, it’s fast, and it’s fun!

The sketches above were all generated from random doodles I created within Corel Painter. I set the brush value to about 200 px and created some random shapes. Then, I went back and “found” characters that could occupy those shapes.
I do this from time to time when I’m hashing out new ideas, or when I’m feeling a little burnt out. Enjoy!

The guest-strip I created for the aptly dubbed Guest Strip Project is live on the site today (Saturday evening as I write this).
The Guest-Strip project is a fund raiser to raise money for the Make-a-Wish International Foundation. Please stop by, check out all the comics so far, and support a genuinely worthwhile cause while you’re at it!

P.S. pcweenies.net should now (hopefully) render nicely in Internet Explorer. Phil, from Frumph, went out of his way to guide me through the fixes required. Thanks, Phil!
Thanks to Frumph, pcweenies.net will now load from IE once more. My PollDaddy script was causing some extreme flakiness. Thanks to reader Jim Roberts for first alerting me to this problem.
